Noblesville Ind May 12 1921 The receivership of the Farmers and Merchants Bank Cicero closed by the Auditor of State has been closed in circuit court and John C Craig as receiver discharged. The final report shows charges 29009.26 expenses 15360.28 dividends 7758.42 and balances. The court approved the report and the receiver turned over ledgers and accounts to the County Clerk. Several other local court actions followed including road contracts and a divorce.

Sheridan begins election year with three offices on the ballot. A first ward trustee seat now held by T. L. Malott, a second ward trustee seat for M. L. Farmers Get In Good Week In Local Report
Farmers in the area worked steadily in the fields last week with some planting underway as early as Monday. The season, though draggy, compares favorably to last year with earlier corn delays. Wheat and oats look good though grasses were stunted by cold. Garden plans show many will be planted, per seed dealer inquiries.

Booze Run Car Wreck Near Sheridan Injures Two Runners
A roadster used by bootleggers went into a ditch on the Noblesville Lebanon pike southwest of Sheridan Saturday night. Two men, occupants of the car, were injured and fled before Boone County authorities arrived. the Illinois plate car was later taken into custody. Traces of bottled goods were found in the wreckage.

Track Team Off to Indianapolis for Sectional Meet
The local high school track team led by Coach Ross heads to Indianapolis Saturday for the sectional meet at the state fair grounds. Team members include John Northam Kip Parr Merton Young Earl Dillon and Frank Nay with about fifteen to twenty schools expected to participate. Coach Ross will accompany the group and stay in Sheridan for the summer.

Boy’s pole vault accident at Sheridan described
Howard Jessup fifteen year old son of William Jessup living half a mile southeast of Sheridan broke both bones in his right forearm while pole vaulting Sunday afternoon. The injury was very painful and troublesome. Similar accident occurred to a Noblesville high school athlete in a meet last week.

Children Taken To Hospital For Adenoid Operations
