Board Approves 2nd Street Plans and Bitumen Paving
Town board discussed street improvements Monday night approving part of the plans and specifications. Surveyor Shannon introduced bitumen paving known as the $1 way, a concrete and asphalt mix used in northern cities, while several labor and material bills were approved. William Rawlings sold a potato load of 74 bushels for about $104, averaging $1.40 to $1.50 per bushel.

Walter Lamb Dies in Springfield Death
Walter Lamb, a newspaper man from Springfield Missouri and former resident of this township, died of cerebro spinal meningitis. He was born in Lebanon 32 years ago, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Lamb, and attended Sheridan schools before graduating from Drury College in 1909. C. H. Spurgeon, another former resident, heads the Biology department at Drury College.

No Gain There in Adams Township School Age Count
Figures compiled by enumerators show 581 children of school age in Adams township, nine fewer than 1911. The counts for 1910 and 1909 show 615 and 650 respectively, marking the first time the total dropped below six hundred last year.
