Commissioners Out Inspecting Roads In Noblesville Indiana

Noblesville Indiana May 2 1912 the commissioners spent days driving the county to inspect roads bridges and culverts. They warn that much money will be needed for repairs this summer noting vitrified brick culverts deteriorating from a severe winter. Washouts reported in Fall Creek and Adams townships. The Covode hill on the Lafayette pike is in poor condition prompting tile drains on both sides. Tower braces at the court house clock are damaged and temporary repairs are planned while seeking permanent improvements.

Gourt House Column Transfers and Marriages

List of transfers new cases and marriage licenses. Real estate transfers include Emma Robbins to Daniel Robbins land in Adams Township for $1.00. James R Carson to Allen B Kinhs transfers also noted.

Sheridan Banks Strong

An analysis of the reports of the National banks of Sheridan and Noblesville as evidenced by the call of Comptroller at the close of business April 18 brings out figures on bank resources and transfers. Noblesville shows three banks with combined resources exceeding the county seat in capital stock, while Sheridan banks are larger in other respects.

Little Girl May Have Hydrophobia

Ruth Kelly seven year old daughter of John Kelly of the northern township was taken to an Indiana polis hospital for Pasteur treatment after a family dog bite. The dog grew ill and was killed. its head was sent to a hydrophobia specialist for diagnosis rabies. The child faces a twenty one day hospital stay but is reported to be progressing toward safety as medical science advances in hydrophobia care.

Wesleyan Connection fundraising for Sheridan publishing house

Wesleyan Connection members and local business leaders met to attract a Sheridan publishing house. A five member committee was appointed to canvass for funds as a bonus, with Dan Hare, George H. Palmer, Frank Foulke, S Owen, Theo Ritchey and W L Northam named on the committee. They are collecting donations and subscriptions.

Sheridan Alumni celebrate twenty second anniversary event

Rainy weather limited attendance at the Sheridan Alumni Association gathering at Knights of Pythias hall. The program featured an address by incoming president Mrs J B Johnson, class roll call, violin solo by Miss Pamelia Case with Malissa Scott, readings by Mrs C E Elliott, and male quartet numbers.
