Another Fine Horse Bought by Cline and Fisher
A large bay shire from Illinois joined the Cline and Fisher stable on Monday. Mr. Cline bought the horse from Truman Bros in Bushnell after a late week trip. The three year old, weighing about 2500 pounds, is one of five fine horses owned by the pair, all noted as extra good. An additional Belgian horse from Sovers of Huntington arrived for Dan Milis.

Truthful Check Issuance Law Penalizes With Fines
A late legislature enacted a misdemeanor for writing a check when funds or credit are insufficient. Penalty includes a fine of at least 100 dollars and possibly a prison term of at least one year. Writing such a check is prima facie evidence of an intent to defraud. The law supplements existing statutes.
Shortage of Fries Hits Poultry Raisers This Spring
