Boy Killed by Falling Hay Ladders in Rosston
Charles Phillips four year old son of Arthur Phillips of Rosston was killed Saturday when a hay rigging toppled onto him as he rested on a wagon after driving a goat. The wind driven ladders caused a fatal neck injury. Coroner Millikan investigated. funeral held Monday at Pleasant View.

Mrs. Alice E. Scott wife of Geo W Scott died Sunday morning at the family home corner of Ohio and Fourth street after months of illness heart trouble and complications. She leaves husband two daughters Mrs Gregg Timmons and Mrs O B Mace a son Paul two brothers Lilburn Harvey Noblesville and Will Harvey California and a sister Mrs Daisy Dawson Broad Ripple Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the residence by Rev Wolff and burial was in Crown View Cemetery.

Cox elected president of reformed Dick inson Trust Company
L. W. Cox son of Mr and Mrs John H Cox of this place was elected president of the Dick inson Trust Company of Richmond a long standing bank reorganized after a three week closure by the state banking department over frozen loans. Cox previously worked as an examiner for the state department and helped arrange the recovery. John H Cox traveled to Richmond for the opening and met Sheridan natives now living there.

Last Black Walnut Tree Cut Near Sheridan Farm
A 36 inch stump black walnut tree on the John Pickett farm northwest of Sheridan was felled last week and sent to an Indianapolis veneer works. Once abundant, the species declined as its value rose, with war demand for gun stocks boosting removal, leaving only remnants of the old stands.

Emry M. Richardson aged 55 of 1617 Sturm avenue Indianapolis died Friday of cancer and tuberculosis. A veteran mail carrier for 24 years on Route 47 he joined the Indianapolis post office December 16 1897. Born February 23 1867 in Boone county he previously lived in Sheridan as a watchmaker. Survived by parents Mr and Mrs Joel M Richardson a sister Mrs Eugenie Gifford a son Ralph a daughter Madge Richardson and a son Laurence in New York City. He belonged to Odd Fellows Red Men and the Order of Ben Hur.

Stricken Barber In Sheridan Recovers After On Street Collapse
A. B. Stephenson, a Sheridan barber for 25 years, suffered a severe high blood pressure attack Monday around six pm while walking home in front of the Kanawha hotel. He was carried to his home on a stretcher, revived, and stood up the next day after a prior similar episode a year ago left him ill for days.
