Wm Miller about 76 died Friday morning at his home on North California street Sheridan after a short illness of pneumonia. Funeral at Ridge Church Sunday conducted by Rev Eber Teter. Survived by wife and four children G W Miller Carthage Mo T A Miller Ollie Iowa Mrs Maggie Scearcy S.D. He was born in the township and moved to Iowa after the war returning eight years ago. He had lived in Sheridan two months after purchasing property in the fall. Lebanon votes on street oiling. meeting Friday night favored oiling with 90000 gallons needed this year. Oiling cost about 80 dollars per mile for nine feet of roadway. Forty nine cities used oil last year. Newton Grant and Carroll counties plan to use it on gravel roads.

Aged Lady Died After Cold and LaGrippe
Elizabeth Stephenson, aged 79 years, 6 months, 10 days, died at her home west of Sheridan on Sunday after an aggravated attack of cold and LaGrippe. She was born to Jonathan Jones and married Newton Stephens in 1862. Survivors include a daughter, step daughter, eight grandchildren, three sisters, and a brother. Funeral was held at Bethel church Tuesday afternoon.
