Boy Killed by an Automobile in Sheridan
Raymond Hines seventeen, son of Mrs Ella Hines, died at Noblesville from injuries after a bicycle collision with an auto driven by Chas W Sowerwine at the southeast corner of the square Tuesday afternoon. Eyewitnesses say Sowerwine was slow but blameless. police have taken no action. Sowerwine recently sold his Sheridan dry goods store.

Board fixes saloon license in Sheridan township
The Sheridan board fixed a saloon license fee of 525 dollars if the township votes wet next Tuesday with 300 local, 200 state and 25 government shares. Bids for cleaning brick streets were set for April 3 and for additional hitch racks and dippers discussed. Credits were approved for several local workers and suppliers and Eber Pickett won the Sheridan High Oratorical contest to represent the school at Noblesville on April 29 with Bernard Gregg and Fred Dennis as alternates.

Night Fire Nearly Destroys Hinshaw Home
Walter Hinshaw and his wife awoke to a near house blaze when two passing boys spotted smoke at midnight. The flames damaged only the front room as furniture was saved. The fire was caused by smoking meat in a nearby small house. The Hinshaws, a young couple, had just moved from Chrisman to the W. O. Horton farm northeast of Hortenville.
