Red Men Lead Three Leaders in Library Voting Contest
Sheridan Red Men lodge takes the lead after five weeks of balloting in the library voting contest. Tuesday night’s count was the heaviest task for the counting committee which asks voters to submit ballots unfolded and neatly tied in bundles for deposit. The standings show three leaders at the top.

Died in Ninety First Year Mrs Elizabeth Walker
Mrs Elizabeth Betty Walker died at her home four miles southwest of Sheridan from heart and brain trouble. She was over ninety one and had been mobile until recently. She left eight children of whom three sons survive Emmett Ed and William who live in the west. Funeral services were held yesterday morning at Joliet with interment in Little Eagle cemetery. Miss Wilmer was unable to perform on the Lyceum course. Mrs Myra Casterline Smith filled the vacancy with a two hour program including readings on Andrew Francis Byron the Sign of the Cross and Polly of the Circus.

Taps Are Sounded For Hiram Hines In Noblesville
Hiram Hines a former county auditor rural mail carrier and Civil War veteran died at his Noblesville home Tuesday afternoon age seventy three. He carried mail between Cicero Boxley and Sheridan before the Monon railroad and was held in high esteem. Paralysis caused his death. James Spencer of Sheridan is the only survivor.
