The Indiana Supreme Court reversed the Brooks will case from Madison County sending it back to the lower court for rehearing. The dispute involves about 100000 dollars in real and personal property including three thousand acres across Hamilton Madison and Hancock counties and stems from codicils made after 1896. The decision affects probate and the executor appointment in the contested will.

Sweet Strains for This Summer in Sheridan

A real live band with experienced musicians has formed in Sheridan to give weekly summer concerts. Backed by local business sponsors, the group aims to revive the entertaining bands Sheridan was known for. Regular Wednesday performances begin after the season opens, with practice ongoing. County leases five voting machines for November election

The Boone county Commissioners lease five voting machines for Center and Sugar Creek townships for the upcoming general election in November. This reduces ten precincts and ten election boards. The machine owners agree to apply the saved rent toward the purchase price if the county buys later.

Sheridan Ice Plant Nears Readiness for April First Start

The Sheridan ice plant, stalled in connection with the electric light plant, nears completion and is expected to begin operations about April first. It is a modern facility with full machinery for clean pure ice production and a capacity of ten tons daily.

Passenger Train Kills Five Horses Near Sheridan

Five horses owned by James Snodgrass living northwest of Sheridan were killed by Monon passenger trains No 35 and 3 early Sunday. Trains pass Sheridan at 2 22 and 2 37 A M. Three died from the southbound and two fifteen minutes later by No 36 as they lay on the track after escaping through a gate opened by past snow drifts.

New Time Table in Effect Sunday

An almost complete change to the Monon schedule begins Sunday with most trains affected. Indications say the Chicago Indianapolis through service gains revisions and the running time between terminals extends about fifteen minutes for safety. The timetable shows departures from Indianapolis at 9 10 AM and 12 10 PM with arrivals in Chicago later each day.
