In Noblesville Indiana March 17 1921 a circuit court trial centered on a $1000 note allegedly owned by the Klotz estate and found in a Merritt bureau drawer. No Cheaper Dog Tax This Year
There will be no change in the dog tax this year as the Governor refused to receive House Bill No 98. Township Assessors are authorized to collect three dollars for each male and five dollars for each female dog. tax due when listed by the assessor.
Mendenhall Named Administrator Under Blue Sky Law
M. L. Mendenhall of Sheridan becomes administrator of the Indiana securities act after the recent legislature amended the blue sky law and Governor McCray signed the bill. Secretary Ed Jackson announced the appointment, with Mendenhall succeeding himself in the post. He previously served as Hamilton County prosecuting attorney and led Indiana University and its law school.

Explosion from gasoline can at Northam residence
An explosion from a can of gasoline occurred at the W. L. Northam home on the corner of Seventh and Ohio streets when a boy knocked the can from a shelf in the summer kitchen. Mrs. Northam struck a match to locate it, triggering the blast. Minor damage to curtains, linoleum, and a few blankets. fire department responded around 9 30 p m Saturday night.
