Good Exhibits at School Fair
The School Fair at Boxley last Friday drew a crowded, successful day with County Superintendent Haines and wife in attendance. Judges announced premiums across penmanship, painting, drawing, manual training, needlework, culinary arts, and poultry. District No. 5 and Sheridan merchants supported the event, with premiums awarded to students in multiple grades.

Prohibitionists Gather for County Convention in Noblesville
The county Prohibitionists held a mass convention in the Noblesville court room to reorganize the party and map a two year campaign. Jas. Bishop presided, Elmer Teter was temporary chair, and C. D. Zimmer served as secretary. Resolutions endorsed State and National Prohibition and equal suffrage. State chairman Lough denounced the old parties on liquor.

Adams and Washington Townships Vote on Saloon Question
On Tuesday March 28 Adams township will vote on a saloon issue after a petition with 365 names requests the election. John McCarty pressed to consider his license application immediately but action waits until election results. Election commissioners A M Stephenson and John McCarty named. Washington township also to vote the same day with Senator Thos Lindley and Ora Woodruff on the election board.

Celebrated Birthday Of Local Red Men Tribe
The twentieth anniversary of the local Red Men tribe was marked at the Wigwam with a several hundred guest gathering. The program included songs by Frances Endally and Nora Bennett, a horn solo by Earl Humphrey, a reading by Malissa Scott, and an address by Past Great Sachem G. J. Eisner of Terre Haute on Freedom Friendship and Charity. The Sheridan Orchestra performed several selections and the tribe, now 468 members strong, aims for 500 in 1911. Henry Timmons Sr. plans a move to California for health reasons.

Mrs Mary Davenport Dies After Illness At Sheridan
Mrs Mary Davenport aged about 87 or 88 died at her Second street home Tuesday morning after a two week illness. Widow for many years she resided in Sheridan for over twenty five years. She leaves one son Dr I W Davenport. Funeral held yesterday at the M E church conducted by Rev Burns with burial at Crown View.

Dr Madison Swadener to Speak at Sheridan Churches
Dr Madison Swadener assistant State Superintendent of the Anti Saloon League will address Sheridan residents at First Christian Church at 10 30 and at M E Church at 7 30 Sunday in support of the local option campaign and state work of the league. T J Stevens formerly at a hospital in Indianapolis is said to be in critical condition after a recent operation.
