Remains of Alexander Pike Buried Beside Wife

The 88 year old Marengo resident from Crawford county Alexander Pike was shipped for burial Sunday and interred Monday at Crown View cemetery beside his wife. A veteran of the rebellion he served three years as a sergeant after enlisting from Town. Pike lived in Covington Oaktown Indiana and later Illinois and was a 60 year Mason and longtime Odd Fellow. He was brother in law to Mrs James Snodgrass west of Sheridan.

Gardeners urged to reclaim vacant Sheridan lots this spring

Woodmen lodge from several neighborhoods conferred degrees on two candidates at the Odd Fellows hall Tuesday night.

R N Crumbaugh sold his Lebanon residence to F M Lovell for 2200 dollars. Otis Silver, son of John Silver of Elizaville, died Sunday afternoon of double pneumonia at nineteen years old.
