James S Rickards, Eaton schools head since 1909, resigns to take the History professorship at the State Normal School in Conway Ark. He edited the Gas Light and built local ties, with training under Prof Stephenson of DePauw. He is a Sheridan High School graduate (1903) who will be missed by the community.

Noblesville Delegation Promotes Chautauqua Tour
A Noblesville group of 24 autos carrying 90 to 100 residents stopped for lunch at a church basement to advertise a Chautauqua event opening July first in Brown Woods north of town. The seven day program features Miss Elma B. Smith humorist and other attractions. The tour will visit northern and southern county towns before Hortonville. Mrs Caroline Cody Died of Tuberculosis at Sixty
Mrs Caroline Cody wife of Marcus Cody died Monday at her home west of Sheridan Boone county of tuberculosis at the age of sixty. The funeral was conducted by Rev C A Beery and she was buried at Spencer cemetery. She leaves a husband three step sons two brothers and one sister.
