First Pack of Peas Opens Season at Local Cannery
The first run of the season on the new pack of peas at the local cannery began yesterday but will be short as only a small acreage is ripe. By about ten days the bulk of the crop should be ready with favorable weather. early peas are good and later yields expected to be equally fine. Rains recently will aid the cannery output. the first run last year was June 13.

Cheaper Express Rates Cut by State Commission
