Sheridan Town Board Sets Sewer Plan and Finances
The Sheridan Town Board met June 3 in regular session with all members present. They contracted Perry & Vickery to supply water for sprinkling at 8.00 monthly, ordered chairs for the Council Chamber, and authorized gravel and stone purchases. They approved a sanitary ordinance, elected N W Cowgill to the School Board, and passed a resolution to construct a town sewer system beginning at California Street and Fourth Street, extending to the George Symons ditch, to be funded by benefiting properties. An arrest of Oscar Stephens followed accusations from Gertie Harris, and various local notices, appointments, and community events were announced.
