Three Shots Fired in Neighbor Feud No One Hit
A shooting at the Gipson home in the south part of town left Guy Gipson and Otto Ellis in a feud with rumors of prosecutor investigation. Gipson, about nineteen, fired three shots at Ellis but none struck a target. Ellis escaped harm with a quick getaway.

Boy Breaks Leg at Funeral near Big Spring
During a burial at Jones cemetery near Big Spring on Monday, Dennil Bogue five suffered a left leg fracture when he climbed a monument and it toppled. Dr McGee of Big Spring and Dr Davenport of Sheridan treated the injury, and the boy rested as well as could be expected.

Auction Clears White Theatre Holdings After Gas Claim
The White Theatre property including chairs and a moving picture machine was sold at public auction Tuesday morning under the town marshal to satisfy a claim by the gas company and J. L. Vickery. Owner Dutch Collins lost the business after a local power failure last fall. the machine sold for eleven dollars with Ed Miller presiding.

About seventy five leading business men and farmers met at Antrim & Company’s store in Adams township to organize the Progressive party locally. County assessor Emil Decker called the meeting, which selected precinct officers and chose A A Stahl as secretary, with L S Kercheval as township chairman who declined the post.

Monon Railroad installs electric crossing signals in Sheridan
After months of delays and pressure from town and the state railroad commission the Monon Railroad begins building gong signals at six Sheridan crossings. The signals will be electric and announce approaching trains by ringing gongs, similar to those at Carmel and other lines. Some Sheridan crossings are noted as very dangerous.
