90 Acres Sold Near Sheridan at $225 Per Acre
Nelson Higbee of Sheridan bought ninety acres known as the Dr Davenport farm three miles west of Sheridan for 225 dollars an acre. The sale occurred Tuesday, conducted by J E Kercheval as administrator of the Mary Ortwein estate. Mrs Davenport sold the farm after a year of waiting.

Wm Norman, 79, Died After Illness at Sheridan Home
Wm Norman died Saturday morning at his son C V Norman’s home on the corner of Georgia and Second streets after a three week illness from age related diseases. He was a retired carpenter living on a farm half a mile south of Sheridan. Born July 17, 1840 in Yadkin County North Carolina he married Mattie Kerr in 1859 and had seven children four living. Funeral Sunday at Wesleyan church, burial Crown View. He came to Indiana in 1867 and settled in Westfield then Sheridan. He leaves four living children, a foster daughter, a grandson and eight surviving grandchildren. His wife died in 1911.
