In Noblesville Indiana on July 19 1923 taxpayers from Jackson township appealed the Henry Brehm road project to the County Auditor though the County Commission has no jurisdiction. The appeal goes to the State Board of Tax Commissioners and affects bond plans for township indebtedness. An 1865 public school attendance list kept on worn paper records 56 pupils taught by Mrs. Lydia Burris Burton at the J. E. Rodeman residence before Sheridan existed. Boy Scouts Begin Two Weeks Outing at Darlington
About twenty members of the local Boy Scout troop left Monday morning for a two weeks outing near Darlington Indiana. Chaperoned by scout master Clarence Ray and Jacob Mann the trip was made by automobile. This is the second time the boys have camped at that place.

State Auto Cop in Sheridan Targets Traffic Violations
A State Automobile policeman visited Sheridan Wednesday scouting for violators of traffic and automobile laws. He has made several visits to town and usually pinches someone or rebukes sharply. He warns that drivers who dodge requirements will pay the price.

Former Sheridan Resident Wuuured In Rear Wheel Accident
Frank Jackson of Sheridan. brother of Mrs. I. W. Davenport and Mrs. G. H. Palmer, was pinned under his own car on a north Pennsylvania street in Indianapolis after removing a wheel chock. The car burst the bone below the knee and pushed a fragment into the joint, causing severe pain and convulsions. He was hospitalized at Methodist with Dr. Carson and nurse Velma Chance attending. a plaster cast would not be possible until swelling subsides in three to five days. Grace Davy, his daughter, was present. The injury will likely leave him lame in the left knee.

Town Officials Pass Resolution
The town board adopted a resolution asking the Northern Indiana Power Company to extend water mains in Sheridan and to install two new fire hydrants on Bailey street behind the Jacob Pritsch residence and on Tenth street near the Indiana Condensed Milk Company garage. The board awarded the California street paving contract to McCaun Construction Company of Noblesville after a ten day objection period.

The 30 member Ku Klux Klan band from Sheridan traveled to Moore Saturday night for a parade. The Sunday Star reported about 50 000 people witnessed the demonstration in Mooresville Saturday night.
