Fatal Accident at Pikes Crossing Claiming a Life
Mrs Mary E Dickerson of near Thorntown was killed instantly and her husband Marvin and four children injured when their Overland automobile was struck by a traction car at Pikes Crossing on the T H I E tracks between Lebanon and Frankfort. The husband and three children were taken to Lebanon hospital. two young boys were not seriously hurt. The event occurred about 9 30 in the morning as they headed to visit John Shapley near Sheridan. The motorman did not see the car until it crossed the track. The crossing, though not considered dangerous, has seen several fatal accidents in recent years.

Mrs Chas Howard of near Christain Liberty church died Sunday morning after a sudden aphiexy attack. She was fifty years old and survived by a husband a 19 year old son four brothers and one sister. Her husband Mr Howard is a Marion township trustee in Boone county. Surviving brothers are Victor Perry Arthur and Otis Crane of Boone county the sister Mrs Julia Wietzel of Indianapolis. Funeral was held Tuesday with burial at Lebanon.

Husband Died Following Day in Fatal Pike’s Crossing Crash
Melvin Dickerson died at Lebanon hospital twenty four hours after his car was struck by an interurban at Pike's Crossing. He was 45 and the second family member lost to the accident while wife Mary died minutes after. Four surviving children remain hospitalized and are expected to recover.

Mrs. Sherman Ramsey Dies of Pneumonia at Home
Mrs. Sherman Ramsey, 80, of a home northeast of Boxley, died Monday morning from pneumonia. She had been seriously injured June 21 when a cow struck her and remained in a plaster cast at Long Hospital, where she had pelvic injuries. She was recovering slowly but uncomfortable in the heavy cast. survived by husband and son Walter.

Sheridan School Corporation to be dissolved by town board
The Town Board passed a resolution to dissolve the Sheridan School Corporation and turn control over to the township. The township will assume $5000 in bonds maturing in five years and about $22,000 in cash for the 1921-22 year, plus property valued at $60,000 to $75,000. Transfers and pupil charges under a new law will adjust next year. several high school teachers may not return.

Tragedy as West Second street woman dies in runaway incident
Mrs. Elsie Srite 27, wife of Roy Srite, was killed Sunday afternoon when she fell from a running board as an auto driven by Jesse McVey swerved to avoid a chicken. Her eight year old daughter, who rode on the running board, was unharmed. The accident occurred near Second and California streets shortly after 1 PM. The car carried Mrs. Srite to the Smith home, where Dr Young pronounced her dead. She leaves a husband and three daughters. Her father is A W Fancher.
