The Adams Township Institute will be held in the basement of the library on February 1. Speakers are Mr. Prigg of Middletown and Mrs. Lindley of Washington County. Prigg owns 160 acres and will discuss farm problems. Lindley, wife of a local farmer, heads the Salem Farm Club and has led the Home Economics school at the State Fair for years.

Newton Eubanks and Arthur Wellman fought with knives after a church service at Pickards Holiness Church. Effective with the first of this year the salary of the clerk-treasurer will be $600 per annum. This increase from $400 was made by the old board at its meeting, November 21. The town now has a pay roll of $2235 annually exclusive of street cleaning, sprinkling and miscellaneous labor. The board members and at torney are paid $100 each and the Health Officer $35 annually for their services. The pay of the Marshal is $100 per month.
