County Auditor reports 1922 finances for Hamilton County
Noblesville Indiana County Auditor C C White released the 1922 balance sheet showing $1,591,711.99 in receipts and $1,425,561.44 in expenditures leaving a $166,150.55 balance. The county fund cost $104,524.04 for government operations. State payments totaled $146,658.26 and township distributions $529,629.29. The report lauds Treasurer Finley for delinquent tax collection and notes excess of $1,500 in former Recorder Carroll’s fees to the county.

Death of Marshal T. Billings at 74 from double pneumonia
Marshal T. Billings, a retired farmer, died at his East Fifth Street home Wednesday afternoon after a brief illness that began with lagrippe and developed into double pneumonia. He moved to Sheridan from Boone County fifteen years ago and served eight years on the Sheridan town board. He is survived by a widow and is related by marriage to E. M. Myers and Oliver Harlan. Mrs Thistlethwaite of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a daughter of Myers, is expected to arrive by Saturday to arrange funeral plans.

A Federal Court in East St. Louis ruled the Hlinvis Missouri Co operative Milk Producers Association bankrupt. Six farmers filed for bankruptcy alleging post indebtedness to creditors after supplying milk in July and August. The 18 month old, 500000 dollar capital venture had 3000 Illinois and Missouri producers feeding milk to St. Louis distributors with liabilities of about 176698 dollars excluding capital.
