Sheridan Poultry Show Yields Wide Range of Winners
The first Sheridan Poultry Show in six years runs at the Hadley building on North Main with about 300 entries across 30 breeds. Judges led by T. M. Campbell of Darlington named numerous winners including Earl Cox and H. E. Newman in multiple classes, with prizes across ducks, roosters, bantams, leghorns, wyandottes, and turkeys. Tomato talk to boost Indiana crop growth in Sheridan
A Van Camp Packing Company speaker will address growers in Sheridan on February 15 about tomato farming and contracts for 400 acres. Last season's tomato output earned growers 814000, while squash failed due to a freeze. Improvement Bonds Sold To First National State Bank
The board closed last year’s work by selling Ohio Fourth and Fifth streets improvement bonds at par to First National State Bank, covering printing costs. Next bid item is bricking Georgia Street in February, after postponement due to prior street projects. Benj Wheeler Dies at 58 of Lung Trouble
Benj Wheeler died at his home west of town Saturday night from lung trouble at age 58. He leaves three brothers John P Berl and Winfield of Washington and sister Mrs Hiram Champ of Indianapolis. Son of the late Marshall Wheeler. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a m conducted by Rev W D Bartle. Interment at Union Grove.

Sailors from county aboard wartime battleships reach Kingston
