Uncle Barney McKenzie observed his 88th birthday on Friday January 13 born in Jackson County Ohio in 1523 and moved to this county at age seven. A lifelong resident except for 14 years in Kansas he served in the 148th Indiana regiment in the war and received a silk banner at Crawfordsville last year as the eldest Grand Army man. He joined the M E Church young and remains active and Christian. friends extended congratulations on turning 88.
