County roads bid to start after two years of war pause
Noblesville Indiana January 16 1919 the county board of commissioners announced road work would resume after war time suspensions. Four new roads were set for bids February 4 including Rocker boulevard from 10th street to the Randolph farm area toward Stony Creek. Other projects include Wheeler highway extension on Grenfield Pike Barker highway in Adams township and McDonald road in Wayne township.

Funeral for Jesse Scott in Bakers Corner
The funeral of Jesse Scott, age nineteen, who died last week at Hog Island shipyards near Philadelphia, was held Sunday at Bakers Corner with burial at Crown View cemetery in Sheridan. He leaves his parents Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Scott, a brother and three sisters. family resides east of Bakers Corner.

Sheridan youth held after forgery accusation
Fred Thurman of Sheridan faced a hearing before Squire Stout Monday on forgery charges and was bound over to the circuit court. He was moved to Noblesville jail Tuesday morning. The 19 year old allegedly cashed two forged checks for 16 and 10 dollars using the name C. B. Mace at The Farmers National Bank. It is said this is not his first offense.

Full Attendance Closing Day at Farmers Institute
A full attendance marked the closing day of the Farmers Institute held last week. Speakers included Mr. Moore of Schre..ville substituting for Mr. Franklin of Danville who spoke on Hemoratic Septicemia, a hog cholera form affecting cattle and poultry. Mr. Phillips of Purdue discussed poultry raising culling and feeding. Special music came from a talking machine and the high school Glee Club.
