The Ninth District convention at Frankfort re elected Fred Sims as district chairman by acclaim. March 20 was set for the Congressional Convention in Kokomo. Local civic items cover telephone company expansions in Sheridan and Arcadia with new poles, wires, and switchboard capacity. First National State Bank of Sheridan elected a seven member board with Cox as president and Parr as VP. A. A. Phillips, a Legislature candidate, was in town. he has roots in Atlanta and is described as a hard worker and self-made.
