Train collision injures baggage master at Frankfort crossing
Northbound Monon accommodation train was bumped by a Lake Erie local freight at a crossing in Frankfort. A coal car struck the baggage car derailing it and injuring the express messenger. The smoker and two Lake Erie freight cars were derailed. Both crews disclaimed responsibility.

Kempton Man Dies After Railroad Crossing Crash
Emery Cooper aged 42 of Kempton died from injuries sustained in a Friday morning collision with a Lake Erie & Western passenger train. His wife and eight year old niece Miss Rayle were seriously injured when the Ford touring car was thrown about 100 feet and landed upside down. Cooper died Sunday morning from the injuries.

Prominent Farmer and Dairyman Dead in Eagletown Area
J. M. Stewart, a prominent farmer and dairyman, died at his home north of Eagletown Friday night after a prolonged illness of stomach trouble. He was 64. Survived by widow and children: Prof. Russell Stuart, Roy Stuart, Loton Stuart, Mrs. Mary Davis, Katharine Stuart, Susie Stuart, and Mrs. Fred Pike. Funeral services held Sunday at the Eagletown Friends church.

Sheridan Boy With Purdue Glee Club
Russell Fristoe of Sheridan is a Purdue Glee Club member performing at Lebanon on January 24. The 31 student group travels for experience with no salaries while competing February 7 in Chicago against clubs from eleven colleges. Another student, John Hare, joins the Purdue band. Fristoe is an accomplished banjo player and ex member of Mac's orchestra.
