New Term to Convene Next Monday in Noblesville
Noblesville Indiana January 9 1919 Judge Cloe will call the docket for the new term on January 14 the second day of the January term with cases carried over from the old term already set. The grand and petit juries for the new term will be drawn next Monday. The October term adjourned last Thursday and the judge plans a busy term to speed business. Prosecutor Maurice Mendenhall freed a number of criminal cases before leaving office to leave a clean docket for his successor Ralph Waltz.

Retired minister Rev T J Burton dies in Noblesville
The Rev T J Burton 75 a Noblesville resident for years died Friday night from heart trouble. A former Adams Township resident married to Lucinda McMurtry in 1865 he served three years in Company A 101st Indiana and spent four decades as a Christian church minister. Funeral at Noblesville Christian church with Crownland burial. Survived by wife daughter two brothers and two sisters. He belonged to Noblesville G A R and Masonic Lodge.

Elijah Jay a pioneer farmer aged 85 died Sunday morning after a brief illness from stomach cancer. Born in Ohio he moved to a farm east of town 52 years ago and lived there with his wife who died 25 years ago. Survived by daughters Mrs Emma Rader Akron Indiana Lydia and Grace at home.
