A red fox with a bushy tail was chased last Thursday about one mile south of Hortonville by hunters George Fred and Edward Bauer. They pursued about eight miles toward Eagletown but the fox eluded capture as they had no dogs. It was the first fox seen in years in the area.

Well known farmer Johnathan Tweedy dies at 84
Johnathan Tweedy a well known farmer living west of Sheridan died Monday morning after a long illness at age 84. He had farmed on the same property for over thirty years. Funeral services were held at the Friends church with burial postponed for a telegram from a son in Canada. Survived by a wife and seven children. Mrs. Tweedy is seriously ill.

A story and a half frame house on the C. B. Jones farm one half mile north of Spicewood burned Sunday around noon. Occupant Rollie Kellam and family escaped with only part of their belongings. Four Charter Members Remain of Sheridan Wm. Smith Post
