Hamilton County commissioners in special session on February 19 1920 referred to County Attorney Fred Hines the task of studying the woman suffrage law and reporting at the March meeting. They may require new precincts and separate booths for the May primaries if suffrage proceeds before the national ratification and federal resolution.

Young People Surprise Parents In Danville Nuptials
Elizabeth O Cline youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs J A Cline of Adams township and Clark Powers of Danville Ind were married Tuesday afternoon at Noblesville by Squire Comstock. The bride a Boxley high school senior and the groom a Danville mail carrier. The couple learned of the wedding by a telephone message from Mrs Powers en route to their new home. The Powers and Cline families became acquainted while Elizabeth attended normal college in Danville.

Arrangements are under way for a program at the Methodist church next Sunday afternoon when the American Legion will present French diplomas to the next of kin of deceased service men of the late war. Five diplomas will be awarded to Frank Kiste C E B Elliott Mrs Gladys Buckner Benton Kimble and Newton King. Judge Cloe of Noblesville will deliver the main address. The program includes orchestra French composition opening remarks scripture reading prayer poem reading by Mrs J W Kirk address by Judge Cloe song by high school girls glee club reading of honor roll singing Marsailles and The Star Spangled Banner and benediction.

Popular Young Man Dead in Hortonville
Raymond Boyd, a popular Hortonville figure and former professional baseball pitcher, died Tuesday evening from influenza after a brief illness at age thirty three. He leaves his mother Mrs. Alice Boyd, a widow, and two children. Funeral services are set for Friday morning at his home with burial at Westfield cemetery.

Schedule includes round games and later elimination bouts with tickets at 75 cents for the entire program.

Sheridan High Defeats Delphi Then Falls to Fairmount
Sheridan High School split a pair of basketball games last week. They beat Delphi in one game and lost to Fairmount in another. Friday at Carroll County they fell 21 to 13 after a 11 to 0 first half. Substitutions Parr and Waitt were used in the second half. Delphi had earlier defeated Sheridan at Delphi. Sheridan also lost a previous game to Fairmount on their home floor.

Fred Chance died Friday at his home near Westfield from double pneumonia. Funeral services were Sunday at 2 PM with interment at Summit Lawn cemetery. He leaves a widow and two brothers, Bernie Chance of Westfield and Dr. Chance of Windfall, united with Isaac Chance and relatives in Washington township.
