Promising Young Man Gene Johnson Dies of Lung Trouble

Gene Albert Johnson son of Zeno Johnson died at the family homestead near Bakers Corner Friday noon after a protracted lung illness. He left Angola last winter to study and had been in failing health since. A member of Boxley High School’s first graduating class he was regarded as bright. Funeral services were held at West Grove church Monday morning. His mother and several siblings survive.

J J Cash 71 Dies at Home From Stomach Ailment

Joel J. Cash aged 71 died at his Six Points area home last Thursday evening from a complicated stomach and bowel illness. Funeral services were held at Lamong Sunday at 11 am.
