Jacob Akard Dies at 73 After Illness
Jacob Franklin Akard died Tuesday at age 73 at his daughter Mrs Elwood Bakers home after Brights disease and pneumonia. The funeral was held Thursday at Terhune Church with burial in Spencer Cemetery. Surviving are daughter Mrs Baker and son Wes Akard of Terhune.

Autos Collide on Main Street in Side Swipe Crash
Automobiles belonging to Elza Hammack near Sheridan and Marion Ploughe of Tipton county collided at the corner of Fifth and Main streets late Tuesday afternoon causing damage to the Hammack car. Ploughe failed to notice the other car while attempting a turn on Main, resulting in a side swipe.
