Guardian not liable for Liberty bond loss in estate case
Judge E. E. Cloe ruled in Hamilton circuit court that a guardian or executor who invested estate funds in Liberty bonds cannot be held personally responsible for depreciation in bond value. The ruling came during the Mary Jennings estate hearing where H. H. Newby, guardian, faced objections over a $400 bond investment. The judge noted good faith and said such a loss would require a higher court to correct.

First Showing of Guernsey Calf Club in Sheridan Indiana
On November 8 1920 the first Pure Bred Guernsey Calf Club in Hamilton County began with eleven imported calves from Guernsey Island. The July 6 Sheridan show featured a parade led by the Whitestown Band, owner speeches, and praise from Purdue official C R George about the dairy project. Short Illness Proves Fatal for G W Beam
G W Beam a retired farmer of east Fourth street died Thursday evening after a brief illness of pneumonia. He was sick about 36 hours with a summer cold that developed into pneumonia. The funeral was at his residence Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. Stafford. Burial followed at Crown View cemetery with the Wm Smith post and the American Legion assisting.
