Stephenson Chance Wedding At Sheridan Residence

Charles Stephenson married Myrtle J. Chance at the bride's parents home three miles southeast of Sheridan on a Saturday evening in April. Rev. Will Owen officiated before close relatives. The groom, eldest son of Robert Stephenson, plans a new home on his father's fort near Lamong and has moved his family to Mrs. Ora Underwood's property in Sheridan.

Trial in Reagan Stanley suit postponed by judge

Judge Kent from Frankfort arrived to preside in William J. Reagan versus Theodore P. Stanley an alienation of affection suit. The defendant Stanley showed distress and request to self defend. judge doubted sanity and slated a commission or appointment. case adjourned to September. Funeral later for eight months old Wayman Taylor son of Omer and Della Taylor at Ebeneezer.

Sheridan Bank Converts to First National State Bank

Beginning last Monday the State Bank of Sheridan converted to a National Bank, to be named the First National State Bank of Sheridan. Capital stock stands at 45,000 with a 87,009 surplus, and 92,000 total funds. 12,500 in bank notes will be issued once notes arrive from Washington in sixty days. The bank, in its 11th year, retains current officers and staff, with plans to expand into a mixed chorus future as used.
