Drillers Fail Again on Sheridan Farm Well
The Sheridan company drillers working on the Johnson farm southeast of town finished the contract early in the week at 165 feet. A small flow of gas and oil was struck ten feet into the rock but was unprofitable. The well was abandoned and casing pulled, marking the third failure for the company in three months and discouraging the crew.

Second Year High School Dominates Field Meet Honors
Tuesday afternoon students were dismissed early for a high school field meet. The Second Year High School won the majority of honors and will travel to West Field Saturday for the County meet.

O K Palmer and John Jack traveled to the capital to visit T C Jack still in St Vincents hospital with plan to bring him home postponed to next Sunday. Sewer work near completion as engineer inspection looms

Lizzie Ecton, colored, was arrested for theft and bound over to court after arraignment. she was jailed for failing to furnish bond.
