Mrs. Margaret Pettigrew of Greenfield sues Indiana Union Traction for 10000 damages arising from a November 18 1907 accident near the Lake Erie and Western crossing at Indianapolis north end. Attorneys are Jackson Sample and Roberts Vestal for plaintiff. Van aradal and Kane for defendant. Three related suits were moved between Marion Hancock and Hamilton circuits with similar damages claims.

Kraus Family Honors Polly Johns With 80th Birthday Dinner
Mr and Mrs W H Kraus celebrated Polly Ellen Johns 80th birthday with an elaborate dinner Sunday April 18. About forty guests attended including relatives from Colfax Whitestown Southport Indiana polis Westfield and Big Springs. Mrs Johns received congratulations and expressed hope to celebrate many more such birthdays. A post card shower surprised her with 97 cards on Saturday.

Cigarettes Return To Public Sale Under New State Law
After a four year absence cigarettes reappear on sale publicly following new state laws. The law allows cigarette sales but prohibits minors. the regulation took effect Saturday April 10.

Residents plan a sprinkler to dust streets this summer after fundraising. W H Perry has arranged negotiations to purchase a sprinkler, following the previous unit sold to outsiders. Last summer saw little effort to lay the dust.

Sheridan Sister Seizes Brother From Uncle in Tipton
Mrs Lizzie Wilson of Sheridan took possession of her twelve year old brother from his uncle Peter Martin in Tipton with help from the police after other sister Mrs Sharp reported the boy was not properly treated. The boy was moved to Brazil to live with his other brother. The story also notes a stalled debate over sewer improvements in Sheridan's southwest area with costs estimated at five to six thousand dollars.

Boys Sail Through Air In Homemade Wagon Airship
Lester twelve and Law rence ten sons of Archer Lee in Adams township north of Sheridan build a wagon gear airship. They piloted the rig seven miles to Atlanta with wind from the west and parked it at their uncle I H Lee’s barn awaiting an east gale to return. The contrivance drew many observers along the route.

Mrs James Starks, 57, died Sunday at her home west of Sheridan from a paralytical stroke that struck days earlier. She leaves a husband and two children. Funeral services and burial were held at Bethel on Tuesday.
