End of School Year Activities and Events
The school closes for summer on Saturday May 14. Fern Myers wins the primary oratorical contest with Neva Stephenson second. Track and field practice continues for the county meet Saturday May 7 at Noblesville. Baccalaureate is May 8 at 7 45 pm at the M E Church with a college president speaker and special music. Commencement is May 13 at 8130 pm in the opera house with Dr J Aley delivering the class address and an orchestra providing music. Reserved seats go on sale May 10 at Elliott's Drug store for 25 cents. The High School Concert last Friday netted about 85 dollars after expenses from a 120 dollar gross.

Box Church Plan Clears Way For New Temple Style Structure
Plans for a Temple style church building, expected to cost about $12,000 exclusive of furnishings, were formally adopted. The 50 by 80 inside structure will seat 700 with a three sided gallery and large west entrance for funeral use. Existing building moved east, old site sold or raised after completion. Mrs. Franke Edmonds of Indiana to aid firemen during preparations and a box supper reading event. Campaign has raised $10,000 with donors from $100 to $1,000 and about 30 subscribers so far.

Cows Sell Well At Public Auction At High Averages
Thirty one cows sold Saturday at public auction for an average of 45 dollars per head with the top price 74 dollars. The herd came from southern Indiana under M. Dismore. Meanwhile twenty five law books were sent to subscribers free with new or renewed yearly subscriptions. If weather holds the aerodome north of the News office will open Saturday night for moving pictures and vaudeville.

Red Men Attend District Meeting in Lebanon
