Sheridan Fire Devours Factory Block in Broad Daylight
A disastrous Sheridan blaze destroyed the Higbee Buggy Co factory with $2,000 lost, as water shortages and old frame buildings aided the flames. Citizens and the fire company fought heroically to save adjacent brick structures and a church, but several stores suffered smoke and water damage along Main Street.
