County Nurse Visits Sheridan Schools
Miss Shaffer the Hamilton county nurse visited Sheridan grade schools this week to weigh and measure children and advise on nourishing diets. Local physicians examined the children. The program is spreading across the state and will aid school children. high school visits have not begun.
John M Haughey dies after Brights disease in Sheridan
John M Haughey born in 1845 in Ohio died Friday morning at his East Second Street home from Brights disease after a short illness. He served in the Civil War Ohio Regiment later studied medicine in Cincinnati and married Euphemia Johnson in 1869. Survived by wife sons Frank and Clinton sister Anne E Richey several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral held Friday afternoon with Rev. Jones burial Crown View Cemetery.
