Relatives report the death of Alma Crumbaugh Steel in Oakland California from influenza. She was fifty five, born and raised in the community, the eldest daughter of R N Crumbaugh, and was married January fourth of this year. She was buried at six pm the same day. The ongoing influenza epidemic is noted in the notice.

Obituary: Harriet Hiatt Dies After Long Illness
Mrs. Harriet Hiatt aged 54 years and 6 months died at her home north of Bakers Corner on the Range Line Monday evening from a cancerous affliction. She leaves two children John Hiatt of this township and Mrs Carl Martin of Lapel. Funeral services were held at West Grove Thursday with interment in the nearby cemetery. she was the oldest member of the West Grove congregation.
