Levi Deakyne of Higbee Buggy Company drove a touring car that struck R. R. Williamson on Main Street in front of the News Office. Williamson escaped with minor injuries though his clothes were badly torn. Witnesses differ on the car’s speed, some saying 25 mph and others slower.
