Seeing Your Name In Print Sparks Reunion Hopes
In a light feature, ex-Sheppard Field personnel share memories of famous sightings in TEXACTS and overseas letters. Capt Harold Damon’s encounter with astonished locals echoes the paper’s photo prestige, while others like Pic Tom Bloodworth and Lt Harold Goldman find pride or tasks abroad from Greenland to Casablanca. The column also notes a brown baby rabbit, wedding bells for CWO Bernard McQuirk and Billie Smith, and a playful post ride with Col Lohman.
