Will Irrigate African Desert A plan to reclaim Kalahari
Professor E H L Schwarz proposes damming streams to form a shallow lake that would irrigate 19 000 miles of potential productive land between the Zambezi and Orange rivers in Southern Africa. The project aims to stop desert desiccation and test modern method in the Dark Continent while facing evaporation concerns.
