Baby Camel Story from the Zoo Family Tale
A long, fanciful piece about a Bactrian camel family centering on a baby camel named Babe. The narrative portrays the parents Mrs Camel and Mr Camel, their separation by a fence, and the baby’s affectionate interactions, jealousy dynamics, and the caretakers’ efforts to shield the infant from crowds while allowing bonding with the mother.

Braddock's Buried Treasure and War Memories
The article recalls Frederickstown Maryland during Braddock's 1755 campaign, noting colonial leaders like Sharpe Braddock Washington and Franklin, the roadblocks to transport, and Braddock's death after an ambush. It tells of a chest with 2500 pounds and jewels said to be hidden on High Knob, later found by thieves, never unearthed, and legends persist. It also covers a Red Cross aid appeal for winter relief, highlighting clothings, shoes, and careful need-assessed assistance. Economic notes include improved Keystone quarries and Perfection Garment Company hiring, offset by general high living costs and employment gaps.
