County commissioners proposed by amendment to state constitution

The March 1889 issue notes that voters will decide on electing three county commissioners to form the County Court with four annual sessions, two dollars per diem. It also mentions magistrate jurisdiction up to three hundred dollars and a jury of six for amounts over twenty dollars, plus qualifications for court members.

County Council Meeting at Kerneysville February 28 1880

The County Council met at Kerneysville on February 28 1880 with President Strider presiding. Secretary pro tem Jac. Keplinger appointed. a quorum present.
