Fragmented 19th century note with barnyard prices and local notices
A garbled early 1800s newspaper fragment lists prices for goods such as hammocks and cake, mentions a Hurdy Gurdy event, and notes various local happenings. It references Owens drug store, a Jersey cow, a baseball game, a divorce, a rail telegraph report purchase, and several local names and places including Shepherdstown, Berkeley County, Morgantown, and Gapland. The text blends advertisements, a court or social note, and community announcements with scattered dates like June 6th and June 14th.
