A Confederate soldier recounts Bill Pratt’s daring night raid to outflank a Yank sharpshooter in a Warwick River redoubt during McClellan’s peninsular campaign. Pratt crawled through abatis and water, surprised the chair-ambush, and killed the enemy marksman, ending a tense, death-filled ordeal.
