Organ history stirs Shepherdstown church archives
A detailed survey of old pipe organs in Shepherdstown churches traces their origins, installations, and organists from the 1700s to the mid 20th century. It highlights Trinity Episcopal and Lutheran church organs, notable organists like Miss Salie Rickard and Miss Ella Kelsey, and changes as congregations modernized, preserving memory of community music through generations.

Shenandoah Junk
A visitor from Jefferson County recalls Shenandoah Junction vividly after waiting for a Norfolk and Western connection. She does not remember Harper's Ferry Martinsburg Stephersdtown or Charles Town but vividly recalls the insects infesting the Shenandoah Junction station.
