Baltimore Bunce Game Defrauds Springfield Farmer
Ierace Cook of Springfield Prince George's county Maryland was swindled out of 500 dollars in Baltimore by bunce sharpers last Friday. A young man posed as a former schoolmate and friend of his son and lured him to a boarding house on Lombard near Penn. In a saloon and at a cloth table Cook lost 2000 dollars after a fictitious ticket scheme. Cook withdrew 500 dollars from a bank to try to beat the game but was kept away hours while the swindlers fled laughing. The operators are believed to be from New York and Cook the sole victim.

Weasels swarm from stone pile attack Elk County farmer

A Convenient Tramp Near Wadesboro Incident
A tramp sought lodging at a house shared by two women near Wadesboro North Carolina. They locked him in a closet for the night. About midnight a disguised white man in a blackened face broke in, threatened murder, and after a struggle fired a pistol killing the intruder who was later revealed to be a neighbor.
