Bandits Loot Superior Post Office Safe for Fifty Thousand

Five masked robbers break into the Superior Wisconsin post office and the home of Assistant Postmaster J McGill. They bind family members and force McGill to reveal the safe combination and his keys. The heist yields $50,000 in stamps and valuables. Police pursue leads after the daring morning burglary.

Gentleman Bandit Now In Custody

New York reports Gordon Simpson known as the Gentleman Bandit is in custody on a fugitive from justice charge. Police say he boasted of bank robberies tied to the Red Ryan gang and escaped Kingston Ontario prison with three companions after a torch town raid.

Three Killed by Maniac on Moving Train

In Winchester Kentucky a Louisville and Nashville passenger train near Crissy was attacked when M J Loveless of Hazard fired into a crowded smoker. Three men were shot one fatally with Bundy of Warren Massachusetts gravely wounded in the spine. Loveless was overpowered and jailed.

Reichsrat Approves Locarno Safety Treaties

The Reichsrat in Berlin votes 46 to 4 with 14 abstentions to approve the Locarno safety pacts. Delegates from each German state backed the measure as the treaties move to the Reichstag next week for final approval before signing.

Babe Ruth's automobile wrecked on Dead Man's Curve with high speed, four of the "Swat King's" chauffeur's party and three women injured. Monster Of Night Being Sought Out

Toledo police pursue the so called monster of the night after a long string of brutal assaults. Seven women harmed over six weeks include the death of Mrs Kathryn Knight and another woman found dead with a mutilated body between two houses. A sales girl Pauline Winover survived a club attack two hours after Knight fell.

Deprived Of Right To Run Car 3 Months

Plymouth resident James Rock aged 8 was fined 50 dollars and costs and deprived of driving for ninety days after pleading guilty to driving an unlicensed vehicle on Stafford Street. Justice William Meyer imposed the penalty with possible jail for violation. Arno Kramer of Bilhart Lake was fined 10 dollars and costs for speeding on highway 67 after complaints by Joseph Sperh, patrolman.
