The late G. W. Wisselink received one of the region's largest services Saturday in Hingham. About 1,000 gathered at his home and the Reformed church with three ministers. Attendees included 126 Woodmen, county board members, and many organizations sending wreaths and floral tributes.
Edward J. Altenbach, proprietor of a soda bar at 1302 Superior Avenue, was fined 100 dollars plus costs in municipal court this morning for possession of liquor for his own use. He claimed he had absent mindedly left it in the establishment and paid the fine.

Henry Baalke Sr. of 213 Park avenue suffered a broken left leg when struck by a southbound car driven by Alton McCarty of 410 Annecourt on S Water Street Saturday evening. Baalke was returning from Northern Furniture with his son Henry Jr. when the accident occurred. he was treated at a city clinic and later sent home.
Automobile fatalities for Chicago and Cook County today stood at 686, compared with 644 for all of 1924. Four deaths in the past 24 hours raise the two week total to 198, with officials estimating the 1926 toll near 750.

William Brandt, confessed slaver of 11 year old Francis Piolett, was sentenced to life imprisonment in the state penitentiary. The boy's body was found mutilated October 3 in a deserted house attic. Antigo Wisconsin reports Ben Davin 65 a bachelor caretaker for summer homes perished in a fire at Mashkenowish Lake three miles from Eleho. Neighbors found the burned cabin and the body after not hearing the blaze overnight. Authorities seek Davin's relatives and trace his origins in Lower Michigan.
Federal Judge Adam C. Cliff ordered six nearby cabarets padlocked for alleged prohibition violations. The establishments include Jerry's Tavero and Hollywood Inc of Elgin, Shirley Boat Livery, Osk Dell Cate of Aurora, Arehia Blakeley, and John Kuk with Roy Angell of Elgin.
